Takaaki Sato (佐藤 隆昭)
- I am a researcher who uses MEMS to explore the fundamental origins and significant applications of friction, adhesion, wear, and lubrication from a microscopic viewpoint.
- I got my Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo. Then I was a researcher at the University of Tokyo and the University of Pennsylvania before joining the faculty at NTHU.
- My favorites are Final Fantasy5, Final Fantasy9, Coffee, Pizza, Donuts, and Pie. I'm Sherlockian.

Kai "Ethan" Ching-Ta (勁達蓋)
- I studied the thermal fluids and joined a project of a solar thermal energy storage system. The project focused on converting solar energy into either heat or electricity for hot water demands.
- I started my M.S. in the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University in September 2025. Our research outcomes are based on micromachines, Transmission Electron microscopy(TEM) and tribology.
- I like playing basketball and listening to Jay Chou’s music; these are my main forms of entertainment in my free time.

Peng "Derek" De-Yi (彭德翊)
I studied mechanical engineering with a focus on thermal and fluid sciences. During my undergraduate studies, I worked on a project involving a solar energy collection and storage system, which aimed to convert solar energy into heat and electricity for portable hot water applications.
- I started my M.S. in the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University in 2025. My current research focuses on tribology, where I systematically compare the interfacial shear strength (τ) of different metals (Ag, Mo, Zn, Ni, and Co) under sliding contact.
- In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball and listening to music.
