What you can learn are...
(1) Tribology: Advanced knowledge of tribology for establishing the research lab.
(2) Writing: Skills to write high-quality papers to survive in academia.
(3) MEMS: Skills for fabricating micromachines to get the job in semiconductor industries.
(4) TEM: TEM observation techniques to succeed as a researcher or engineer.
Requirement: You need to have at least one or more below.
(1) Fundamental knowledge of tribology (Hertz contact, Archard's law, Greenwood-Williamson's model...)
(2) Fundamental skill of TEM operation (hopefully it's the one of JEOL and Cs-corrector.)
(3) Fundamental skill of MEMS fabrication (DeepRIE, Lithgraphy, wet etching...)
